Rating: 5/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ McKinney Global Women’s Empire had a wonderful time joining the luncheon at Layered in downtown McKinney! We love supporting local businesses like Layered and networking with incredible women in our local area. Layered holds a special place in our hearts—it was the very first place we ever met up four years ago, and here we are again, continuing to support and uplift one another in business. As always, we just love the wonderful atmosphere, delicious food, and awesome drinks. Thank you, Layered! We can’t wait to come back!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Layered never disappoints! We came in after walking around the farmers market and were enjoying our French toast, migas, and latte when our 6 month old decided to create a “layer” of his own… all over himself and his car seat. 😅 Thankfully, the staff handled it with so much grace. They checked on us, offered help, and laughed with us while sharing stories about their own babies. As new parents, that kindness meant a lot. A huge bonus was finding an actual changing table in the men’s restroom - not one of the flimsy fold-down plastic ones. It was sturdy, spacious, and made cleaning up our little disaster so much easier and less stressful. Amazing breakfast, even better people. We’ll definitely be back, hopefully next time our son leaves the surprises at home!

Great spot for lunch and coffee in the main square of downtown McKinney. They have a good selection of food and coffee to choose from. I was eating pretty light and just had some fries, but they were really good. Almost reminded me of McDonalds fries. It also looks like they have a pretty good selection of alcoholic drinks as well if you come later.

Father's Day Brunch and this place from food viewpoint did disappoint. Ordered the Sweet potato pancakes and expecting them to either look orange or have a distinctive hue; as you can see they look like regular pancakes. In addition, the taste, while they taste adequate they do not have any flavor at all of a sweet potato! The manager did come over to share he could take them away I said no I will still eat them he took them off the bill which I do appreciate. If your marketing something that is what we expect I'm not looking for latkes, just a sweet potato pancake with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. My Mom would make these from time to time using either batata (Dominican sweet potato or American) Also, the omelet was ok, not great and not bad. Lastly, if you are looking for the bottomless mimosas as someone had suggested in the review, of note is on a Sunday they do not start until 10:00 a.m.

Oh my goodness! My son, daughter-in-law and I just found Layered on the square in McKinney,Texas, about a month ago. We were looking for a place to meet and have lunch and we had no clue what we were in for! The atmosphere was phenomenal... Just walking up to the front door, we knew we found a Jewel! Or waiter, Robert, was so much fun, knew the total menu and could suggest whatever it was we were looking for... to include their long list of remarkable coffees! The service was just unbelievable and when we go back we make sure to get see Robert... And I was so tickled when the automated cat server, came out with our meals! Did I mention how delicious the meals were? We have now been back several times so I want to try something new, but our first dish was and has been 100% unbeatable! I will try hard to try something new my next visit... But I know not to hold my breath! If you are on the square in McKinney, Texas... And you're looking for the most delicious breakfast or lunch, I highly suggest Layered! If I'm not mistaken they're open from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m... Monday through Sunday.
